What 'Broken, Not Abandoned' Really Means
Some days, "broken" is the only honest word for it. The patience runs out before the day does. The plans fall apart. The prayers feel like they're bouncing off the ceiling. If you've ever felt that way — genuinely broken, not just tired — you're not alone, and you're not as far from grace as it feels.
Broken doesn't mean forgotten
Scripture never promises a life without breaking. It promises something better: that brokenness isn't the end of the story. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Near — not eventually, not once you've cleaned yourself up. Near, right now, in the mess.
A reminder you can wear
That's the idea behind our Broken Not Abandoned tee — not a claim that everything's fine, but a quiet reminder, worn close, that broken and abandoned are not the same thing. One is a season. The other is a lie.
For the days it's hard to believe that
If today is one of the hard ones, that's alright. Faith isn't the absence of doubt or exhaustion — it's showing up again tomorrow anyway. That, too, is a kind of grace.
